Miss Emily was born and raised in Birmingham, UK, as her parents emigrated from Hong Kong 40 years ago. In 2013, she graduated from The University of Sheffield with a degree in Chemistry. Over the next year, she went on to volunteer with children: leading extra-curricular playgroups; mentoring children with personal issues and helping with homework clubs.
Miss Emily recently became a qualified primary school teacher in the UK. She has experience teaching a variety of ages and subjects within several UK primary schools.
